I'm a licensed pest controller (QBCC 15076438), fully insured, and every treatment I apply follows Queensland Government guidelines to keep your family and pets safe. I'll tell you before I start what you need to do, like keeping kids and dogs off treated areas until they're dry.
I also spend time explaining what I find. Prevention matters with termites and household pests, so I'll point out the things around your place that attract them. Leaky taps, timber touching soil and garden beds built up against the slab are common ones. Fixing those is often free.

Termatrac radar termite detection
Termites eat from the inside out, so a wall can look perfectly normal while they're working behind it. That's why I carry a Termatrac iTracker.
The iTracker uses radar to pick up termite movement through and behind walls, ceilings and roof areas. I can check a suspect spot without drilling holes or cutting into plaster. If the reading shows movement, I know where the activity is and can plan the next step from there. You can read more about how Termatrac works and what it can and can't tell me.

We recently had Jon out to do a termite inspection and pest control. The cost was slightly more than we have paid for others but after having him out we think it was well worth it. We were impressed with his services and booked him to do a termite protection barrier. He was on time for both services and we found him to be both friendly and professional. We had a small problem with a pipe after the termite protection but Jon was out within half an hour and sorted the whole issue out for us. Would highly recommend using Deadset and we will be using them again.

Pricing
What affects the cost of your treatment
I don't publish prices, because a two-bedroom unit and a highset Queenslander on acreage are very different jobs. What I can tell you is what sets the price, so the quote makes sense when you get it.
Quotes are fixed, so you know the price before I start. The pest control cost guide goes into more detail.
- The size and layout of the property, including sheds, garages and granny flats
- Which pest it is, and how established the problem has become
- Construction type, such as slab on ground, timber subfloor or a highset home
- Access to the roof void and subfloor
- For termites, whether I find live activity that needs treatment
- For commercial sites, any reporting or compliance paperwork you need
How much does pest control cost?
It depends on the property size, the pest, how bad the problem is and how easy it is to get into the roof and subfloor. I'll ask you a few questions and give you a fixed quote before any work starts.
How often should I get a termite inspection?
Australian Standard AS 3660 recommends a termite inspection at least every 12 months, and more often in high-risk areas. Plenty of Logan and Brisbane homes sit in high-risk conditions, with established trees, moist soil and timber close to the ground.
Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?
I follow Queensland Government guidelines on every job and use products chosen for the pest I'm treating. Before I start I'll tell you which areas to keep children and pets away from and for how long.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?
It's a 12-month internal service warranty on my general pest treatments. I'll go through exactly what it includes when I quote, so you know where you stand before I start.
Do you do pre-purchase timber pest reports?
No. If you're buying a home and want to know about termites, you can book a standard termite inspection with me and I'll tell you what I find.
What should I do if I think I've got fire ants?
Don't disturb the nest. Report it to the National Fire Ant Eradication Program at fireants.org.au or on 13 22 68 (132 ANT), then give me a call about fire ant treatment for your yard.
